Every Aussie friend of mine is going to laugh... but, I love kookaburras. No really, LOVE them. I'm sure my opinion would change if I had them nesting in the trees outside my home and laughing all day, but I just can't help myself. They're cool birds and that's saying a lot, because I mislike birds.
Our zoo has 2 kookaburras. They keep them separated in different sections so they don't sing all day. Doesn't stop people from attempting to get them going, though and apparently... the zoo keepers have an issue with that. So, in an effort to ease the teasing, they got Matilda going for a little demonstration and I was ever so lucky to get the chance to be there for the show. :D
