Under Construction

So after what feels like forever, I'm back to blog about everything that's been going on with us lately. August flew by in a whirlwind. The older kiddos got to stay for my birthday, which almost never happens, then they left and we prepared for baby and moved into a bigger house. All this was done in between Dan's hectic work schedule, my 70 hour daycare weeks and a plethora of unscheduled interruptions. Life, it's crazy... ya know?

Anyway, so I mentioned that we've moved. Well, we did! We're still in San Diego, but 2 miles further east of where we were in a much older house that only shares one wall with a neighbor. Not ideal, but SUCH a nice change from where we were. We now have a 4th bedroom, which is being readied for Jellybean's arrival in November. We also have a much smaller kitchen, but, surprisingly, it works for me... even if my pantry is around the corner in the hallway. It's all about adapting. LOL

The biggest change brought by the new house was an area that is now exclusively set aside as a daycare room. Originally designated as a "Dining Room", I've made the most of a small space and have found that it's well suited to corral 4 toddlers, 1 very pregnant adult and 2 small infants for 11 hours a day.

The only thing not pictured is the lettering above the table where we display our artwork. The kids seem to love their space and, frankly, so do I. This is easily one of my most favorite rooms in the house.

The house is still being put together, slowly. I'm hoping we can show off the nursery soon. :D
